A woman in her forties is rushed to the transplant ward to "benefit" from a transplant.
Beyond the experience of the sterile room, where "you don't know day from night", beyond the experience of the "hospital-city" universe, it's a journey between several lives accumulated within her, linked to her multiple identities, to the different periods of her life, but also to those of history.
As the story unfolds, other transplants are revealed: linguistic, cultural and emotional.
