Clarisse is still a child, even though her mother often seems to forget her. She likes to bring home the treasures she picks up on the beach.

She dreams of adventure and freedom. But she has no desire to grow up. Adults, it has to be said, are not the stuff of dreams. On a day like no other, a sleepy radio emits a signal.

Clarisse meets Élias, a sailor in the middle of a round-the-world race. Clarisse is eight years old. Élias looks to be at least 200. He sails alone on his boat, she sails alone in her head.
