For the 1st Apero Lasai of the season, Madda will be strolling with her accordion around Place de la République and Rue de l'Eglise.
Madda oscillates between traditional melodies (the songs of the mondine, the rice-pickers of the Po valley, and Piedmontese strambotti), ancient texts, Basque shepherd songs or the struggle songs of the Italian Resistenza, the poetry of European authors, new creations and more intimate personal texts. A constant back-and-forth between past and future, roots and flight, an ancient instrument and a bare, raw, almost punk voice. A perfect way to start a beautiful evening!
