The Bay Path
The long path follows the waterside until it comes to the remains of Fort Vauban, leaving the violence of the battles between the French and the Spanish a few centuries ago to the imagination. The detour by port Caneta allows you to discover Bakar Etchea, Pierre Loti`s last home.
A place on the way for pilgrims following the Saint James Way, the international bridge links Hendaye and Irun, where the path continues until it arrives at Hondarribia beach.
The Bay Path
Launched in 2004, this project connects the marina to Conference Island on the French side.
On foot, by bike or on roller skates, this path around Txinguidi Bay offers a panoramic view over the towns of Irun and Hondarribia.
